DayMate is an extremely well developed and user-friendly day planner application. You can make single or recurring daily appointments, color-code different product types, label events, set reminders for upcoming appointments, send instant messages to customers, open specific Web pages, check for incoming e-mails, sync system time through the Internet, check if new messages are available in your mail inbox, and much more. DayMate also allows you to add notes to appointments and add reminders to events. It includes a calendar function, which lets you organize all your appointments and event information with the same ease. It is equipped with several useful tools such as a calculator, address book, calendar function, the ability to add contacts and files from other applications, an image manager, an online store, a message center, an organizer of all the information you keep, an organizer of the people you want to call on, a list of your e-mails, and a complete program for scheduling.
Windows 95 has a built-in application called Calendar. This application allows you to organize your appointments by days, weeks, months, years, etc. If you have a Microsoft Outlook mail account, this application will be familiar to you. All you need is to click "Add an appointment," "Calendar"Manage your appointments" and enter the date and time. The Windows 95 calendar is organized by days, weeks, months, years, etc., while the Windows 98 version is organized by seasons. You can access a Microsoft Outlook message center by clicking "Message Center" or by navigating to the control panel. It contains a list of all the active Outlook mails, which you can check for important messages.
Daymate also offers a free version called the Classic version. It enables you to do many of the basic functions. The free version does not have all the features that the paid version provides and it is therefore best suited for people who want to create simple daily calendars or just create a reminder to an appointment or event. The free version allows you to add contacts, create events and a calendar.
